Used Book Sale

Bookstock’s Used Book Sale

Please visit the Used Book Sale Tent on the Green

What powers Bookstock’s used book sale is a simple truth: People who love books love to give books to an event where they are likely to end up in the hands of others who love books.

Our team of self-professed book nerds collected thousands of books for Bookstock, curated the books we’re offering, and spoke to many people who gave us books they loved. Many people donating books stopped to share a special book or stories about how they or loved ones cherished the books they were donating. And what great things they donated, reflecting a wide variety of interests! There are many pristine, almost new books. There are intriguing esoteric choices. There are cherished special collections that have been held for decades and now need to find a new home. There are fabulous vintage paperbacks that are themselves art. And so many more. We looked at, organized, and spiffed up each one of them.

We have something for everyone. We hope that you will be as excited about them as we are!

Here’s a hint of what’s among the thousands of books we’ll offer:

  • Thousands of new and lightly used hard covers and trade paperbacks in many genres
  • A selection of $1 paperbacks and hardcovers that have seen better days but are still great reads
  • A raft of books for children

And then there are the books in our new Off the Beaten Path section, with lots of fascinating selections:

  • Wild About Westerns —with 40 Louis L’Amour hardcovers and many Zane Grey selections
  • 80 Years of Romance — hard cover and paperback editions of famous romance writers from the 1940s to present day
  • Beautiful Books — art books and coffee table books, many of them in great condition
  • Retro Hardcovers and Paperbacks — many of these books have visually captivating cover art

There are too many to list here: but you get the idea. There are many special books on offer and many that you’ll just like to read. And we are really grateful to our partners and community donors who have helped provide the books that are an essential part of this event.

Whether you’re a book nook enthusiast or just looking to add a few fun titles, this is a sale you won’t want to miss. Come early for the best selection at prices that give collecting a whole new meaning!

The Bookstock Book Sale on the Green has been and is generously supported by the Norman Williams PublicLibrary. Bookstock’s used books sale would not have been possible without their steadfast support over the years. The NWPL remains a valued partner ensuring the widest selection of used books are available to the community at  the festival and throughout the year. Be sure to visit NWPL’s ongoing book sale in the Foyer and the Rare & Vintage Books Sale that takes place in the library during the festival.
