Bookstock Book Donations

Bookstock is currently collecting gently used books for our book sale, one of the highlights of our festival! (And, yes: Bookstock 2025 which will take place on May 16-17-18!)

We’re really grateful for these donations. Any funds raised through the sale of used books helps to keep Bookstock free for everyone!

We are collecting used books through April 7. You can drop off used books on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in Woodstock and South Woodstock. We’re also holding special Saturday drop-offs in Woodstock and Hanover.

So, if you’re staring at that overstuffed bookshelf, think of the people who could enjoy those books!

Here are days, times and places for book collection:

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through April 4 from 1:30-3:30 pm: Woodstock Town Hall and South Woodstock Country Store
  • Saturday, April 5, from 10:00 am-2:00 pm: Woodstock Town Hall front steps
  • Sunday, April 6 from 12:30-4:00 pm: Mayer Room, The Howe Library, Hanover, NH

We’re really grateful for gently used paperback and hard-bound books of all types — but we can’t accept reference books, foreign language books, travel guides (as opposed to travel writing/memoir), workbooks, textbooks, yearbooks, or CDs or DVDs.

Thank You!

Best of all, your donations help to keep Bookstock free for everyone! If you have questions or would like to make a donation but are unable to drop books off, please contact Stephanie Reger at info@bookstockvt.org.

So, remember: if you’re staring at that overstuffed bookshelf, think of the people who could enjoy those books!

We look forward to seeing you at Bookstock 2025 on May 16-17-18! That same weekend, the Norman Williams Public Library will sell used books and hold a special Rare and Vintage Book sale.
